K-NEIN
K-Nein is a husband-and-wife indie folk/Americana duo and band led by Katelynn Krieglstein and Mike Krieglstein. Blending haunting harmonies, heartfelt songwriting, and improvisational energy, their sound weaves together folk, bluegrass, indie rock, and jam-band influences inspired by artists like Joni Mitchell, Alison Krauss, Tony Rice, Paul Simon, the Grateful Dead, and Phish.
Based between southwest Michigan and Chicago, K-Nein is known for emotionally rich live performances featuring banjo, dulcimer, electric guitar, and layered vocal harmonies. Their sets move fluidly between intimate acoustic moments and expansive improvisational jams, creating a sound that feels both timeless and adventurous.
In addition to performing original music throughout the Midwest, the duo also presents a Joni Mitchell and Grateful Dead tribute, that showcase their love of storytelling, harmony-driven arrangements, and exploratory live performance. With roots in folk and bluegrass traditions and a passion for jam-oriented improvisation, K-Nein brings warmth, authenticity, and dynamic musicianship to every stage they play.
